A little bit about me...

A former therapist and practical idealist, I am passionate about making the world a better place one pixel at a time. I believe UX design is at its best when it's user-centered, research-based, trauma-informed, accessible, and also a little bit fun. ✨🌈

I've worked at agencies and startups, preferring scrappy environments where I can wear multiple hats and collaborate with other smart, kind people. I am currently contracting at WorkHound, and enjoy freelancing on interesting side projects. I've recently become the leader of the local Chattanooga UX group and love seeing our community grow.

I currently offer mentorship through DesignLab, but reach out if you would like to discuss additional mentoring services I may be able to offer to you or your team.

Outside of work, you might find me rock climbing, momming (yes, that should be a word), keeping my Wordle/Connections/Tango/Queens streaks alive, or trying to figure out where I can find the tastiest croissant.

Things I've Written:
• Spearheading a website redesign for Viget's Pro Bono Program benefiting underserved populations
• Explaining why websites are always a work in progress (and that's a good thing)
• Advice for how to flourish as a new hire at a fully remote company
• Reflections on my UX apprenticeship at Viget (intended for prospective applicants)
• Common advice I give to my mentees at DesignLab (but potentially useful for most bootcamp students)
• Not UX Design related, but if you are a rock climbing mom, this Baby Beta blog might be a useful resource!

My inbox is always open. Really. I have been blown away by all the kindness and support I have received from others over the years, and I strongly believe in the importance of paying it forward. If you need anything, send me a message on Linkedin or shoot me an email, and let's grab a virtual cup of coffee. ☕
